One of our upstream providers, 2degrees, had a major network outage last night at approx. 18:20. They experienced a hardware fault in their Auckland datacentre which affected internet transit for a large number of people across New Zealand. Some customers may have had difficulty accessing websites and services that we host. Upon detection of the issue, our network engineers worked as a priority to remove any routes to and from 2degrees to isolate our customers from this fault. We completed this task at approx. 19:10 and access to websites and services within our network were available again.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.
We wish to advise that we will be performing scheduled maintenance at our Albany datacentre during the below window.
Start: 5pm, Tuesday 27 June 2017
End: 7pm, Tuesday 27 June, 2017
This is a notification only. As the maintenance is not anticipated to have any effect on the normal operation of the facility, you do not need to take any action.
As part of our regular maintenance schedule, we will be testing the battery banks that support the UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) system.
Due to built in redundancy measures and processes, no disruption is expected.
